Got back from a walk, need to get cleaned up and wash some dishes.  Goofing around on the web and ran across the documentary film on H. R. Giger, the surrealist painter that was responsible for so much of the spooky imagery in the film Alien.

His artwork is so trippy! I love it.

Trivia: did you know Giger designed the following:

--Korn lead singer Jonathan Davis' mic-stand. http://www.hrgiger.com/music/korn.htm

--Album covers for Danzig, Celtic Frost, Carcass and other metal legends (plus Debbie Harry and Emerson, Lake and Palmer???) http://www.hrgiger.com/music/covers.htm

--the design work for Species (blond naked babe ... makes sense)

Will, I didn't know that about Korn, however, I knew he has designed many album covers like the Debbie Harry one and also the design for Species.

He's a bizzaro artist, but I enjoy his nightmarish art. Can you imagine what Dune would have looked like if they'd have incorporated some of his designs?
